Heat Injury Updates: Several Players Return For Game Against Knicks

The Miami Heat have had a variety of injuries hit their role players and taking them out of games. Four of them return to take on the New York Knicks tonight as the team appears to be on "Big-Game" alert. The Miami Heat Twitter page tweeted out the returning members.

Several things here should be noted. Mario Chalmers is tore a tendon in his left finger just last game and it looked as though he may miss some time. Whether it be that he recovered quickly or that the Heat deem this game to important to have him out from it, Chalmers will have ended up missing zero games with the tear. Shane Battier is returning from a torn MCL just 12 days later. Norris Cole, who was expected to return this game or the next, is coming back from a strained groin. Udonis Haslem is returning from a hip injury.

All of the mentioned players will be play a big role in helping the Heat tonight and moving forward. Combined, the four players provide 22 points, 11.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game. Of course, their return does not mean that will be added to the Heat's stats already, but its an indicator of how much they help as a group with the Heat's offense and defense.
