The Miami Heat were stunned last night by the Golden State Warriors last night as they fell 97-95. But the night could have been so much worse. Dwyane Wade suffered a scary neck and head injury in the second quarter. He left for the locker room, but he was able to return in third quarter.
Wade was fighting through a screen an hit in the face. As he doubled over from that, Mario Chalmers came across the court trailing his man and hit Wade in the side of his head. Wade went down and stayed down for quite some time.
While the injury looked scary, Wade appears to be alright. He finished the game with 14 points in 29 minutes. He also had five assists and four rebounds.
The loss to the Warriors drops the Heat to 14-6. It was just Miami's second home loss of the season. However, the team has to be happy they still have Wade to go to. Unless his neck tightens up, Wade should not miss any time as a result of the injury.
