The Indiana Pacers suffered a huge loss today as news came out that their star forward Danny Granger is expected to miss the next three months. In a Pacers press release, the team said that Granger was injected "to treat left patellar tendinosis".
Although the low seeding, if achieved, is not what the team hoped for, they will gladly take any spot to get into the playoffs. From there they can play at the level that they had once had projected to be.

The procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Gulf Breeze, Fla.After hoping for another strong season led by their leading scorer Danny Granger, the hopes of Pacers faithful everywhere seem to be crippling with this injury. Granger had been sidelined previously with a sore left knee but the status of the injury developed to the unfortunate news that was released today. If he misses exactly three months, he will have missed around 50 games total this season before returning to the court. If the team can hold up without him, they will likely be able to shoot for a lower playoff seeding, depending on how Granger plays when he returns. The spotlight of the team will now shine on Roy Hibbert, who has progressed in recent years.
Team medical personnel are looking at a recovery time of approximately three months.
