Brooklyn Nets starting small forward Gerald Wallace will be activated for tonight's game against the Sacremento Kings. Wallace sprained his ankle during the first game of the regular season and has since missed the remainder of the season thus far. The Nets PR announced his return on Twitter.
In his tenure with the Nets last season, Wallace 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Fans should not expect 15 points from Wallace on average due to their newly revitalized offense squad. He does have the potential to bring in points in quiet bunches, which would only do more positive than negative for the Nets. Coming back to the team means a lot for a Nets team who seems to still be figuring things out defensively.

Gerald Wallace will return to the lineup today after missing the last 6 games with a sprained left ankle.Wallace was signed this past off-season after being traded for by the Nets from Portland. With a four-year $40 million deal, many deem that to be a tad too much for an aging and athletically declining player. For the Nets, he means more to them than just his stats. He's become their key defender, and their leader. His return to the Nets is huge, considering their defensive deficiencies this season so far.
