It's not a surprise, but Steve Nash will miss another week. When new started filtering out that the Los Angeles Lakers' guard could miss just 7-10 days, it seemed unlikely. Now, the Lakers have confirmed that Nash will miss at least another week.
According to the official blog of the Lakers, Nash will miss another week after being evaluated by team doctor Steve Lombardo. He will miss three more games at minimum.
The Nash news comes in the wake of coach Mike Brown being fired. The Lakers managed a win after the firing last night, but they will need Nash if they are going to string together enough wins to compete. The team started 1-4 and cost Brown his job. With their blow-out win over the Golden State Warriors last night, the team is just two games under .500.
Nash fractured his fibula on October 31st. Originally, the injury was thought to be a shin contusion. However, it was later revealed that he had a minor, non-displaced fracture. Nash has not been cleared to participate in contact drills, but has been participating in individual drills with trainers.
