New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon was not ready for the
team’s season opener, and coach Monty Williams tells Jim Eichenhofer of
Hornets.com that he considers the 23-year-old to be “out indefinitely.”
Eric Gordon out vs. Spurs. Monty: "The way I understand it, he's going to be out indefinitely, until we get more clarity on what's going on"

Gordon was able to suit up for only nine of the Hornets’ 66
games last season after being acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers.
There are questions surrounding his sore right knee, as all
the Hornets will say is that he’s set to miss time. Williams expanded on his
initial comment saying that the team is waiting to get more clarity on the
ailment.
Rookie guard Austin Rivers will start in place of Gordon.
Offseason acquisition Roger Mason Jr. also figures to see an increased share of
playing time with Gordon out.
