New Orleans Hornets center Anthony Davis continues to be
hampered by an ankle injury, as the first-overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft is
listed by the team as day-to-day, reports John Reid of NOLA.com.
"He turned his ankle a little bit, but I'm not sure what he's going feel like tonight,'' coach Monty Williams said. "We'll see.''
Davis was expected to play last night against the New York
Knicks, but didn’t suit up for the Hornets. His day-to-day status will have him
reevaluated prior to New Orleans’ next contest tonight against the Indiana
Pacers.
After tweaking his ankle in the first quarter of Friday
night’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Davis twisted it again during
Saturday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. The center then reinjured the ankle
during practice on Monday. At the time he said it wasn’t serious, but it was
enough to cause him to miss Tuesday’s matchup with the Knicks.
