Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum’s injury has been
diagnosed; bilateral bone bruises and weakened cartilage in both knees.
However, the team announced Saturday that there is no timeframe for Bynum’s
return, the offseason acquisition is “out indefinitely,” reports Dei Lynam of
CSNPhilly.com.
"The bottom line is Andrew is out indefinitely," DiLeo said. "We don’t know when he’ll be back. Only Andrew can answer that question — his body can answer that question. Basically there are no timelines."
Bynum’s timeframe for return has been pushed back multiple
times since he was acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers this summer.
Philadelphia is done attempting to put a date on it, as they have tabbed their
injury-prone big man with the ominous ‘indefinitely out’ label.
At this point Bynum is scheduled to continue his rehab,
which consists of swimming and other low-impact exercises. He is set to undergo
another MRI in mid-to-late December in hopes of discovering progress.
