After suffering from a strained thigh muscle at the end of training camp, Kyle Lowry missed the first three games of training camp. Now, Stephen Brotherston of HoopsWorld reports that the Raptors head coach Dwayne Casey said Lowry will be ready to play in Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
“(Kyle Lowry) has been working at practice yesterday and today,” Casey said. “So unless there are any setbacks and I don’t foresee any, he should be able to go (on Wednesday).”This is, undoubtedly, great news for the Raptors as their starting point guard returns in time to gel with his teammates during preseason. This time of year is for the newcomers to adjust, learn their roles and fix their mistakes. It would not be a surprise if Lowry plays a significant amount of reasonable minutes in his debut, but he will still be restricted in some ways. He has four games left in this postseason to forms on-the-court bonds with his teammates and about two weeks. Coach Casey believes that it should not be a problem for Lowry anyway, calling him "one of the smartest players that [they] have"
