Bulls Injury News: Kirk Hinrich Suffers Groin Injury

Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich could miss games due to a groin injury suffered in the previous game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He strained his right groin in the second quarter and was unable to return. The seriousness of the injury is unknown, according to a quote of Coach Thibodeau from Aggrey Sam of CSNChicago.
“I spoke to Fred [Tedeschi, the team’s athletic trainer] at halftime. He said he tweaked something,” said Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau. “I don’t know how serious it is. If he needs time, he’ll get time. If he doesn’t, he’ll play in the next game.”
If Hinrich does indeed miss multiple games, that would be a huge blow to the already Rose-less Bulls. That would mean Nate Robinson and rookie Marquis Teague would getting minutes, not what a playoff contending team would want to see at the start of the season. Regardless, coach Thibodeau  seems to like how Robinson has preformed in preseason as well as Teague's progress, so all might work out after all.

Last season, Hinrich scored 6.6 points and dished out 2.8 assists per game under 25.8 minutes of play.
