Portland Trail Blazers guard Nolan Smith was listed as day-to-day after bring withheld from practice on Tuesday. Nolan reportedly hyper-extended his left knee. Ben Golliver at Blazer's Edge reports that Smith did not undergo an MRI.
"Nolan Smith hyper-extended his knee," Blazers coach Terry Stotts told reporters. "There's a little bit of swelling."
Smith said that he did not undergo an MRI and that a doctor told him he suffered a "slight sprain to the back of the knee area."The Trail Blazers open their preseason with a game against the Los Angeles Lakers today, and Smith feels confident on being able to participate. The sophomore averaged 3.8 points and 1.4 assists on 39.7% from the field, and a horrendous 28.9% from beyond the arc.
