Sixers Injury News: Andrew Bynum Out for Opener

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without offseason acquisition Andrew Bynum when they take on the Denver Nuggets to open their NBA regular season tonight, reports

While Bynum remains indefinitely sidelined with a bone bruise in his right knee, the Sixers faithful would have traded Iguodala for some warm bodies to fill the training camp roster.

Bynum continues to be hampered by knee injuries which sidelined him throughout the team’s postseason. At this point it’s not clear how much time the center will miss due to injury as the team has simply listed him as out indefinitely.

Philadelphia’s playoff and title aspirations hinge on a healthy Bynum, but the talented big man has struggled to stay on the court throughout his career. He’s told the Sixers he can play through his current pain, but the team is being cautious with him as they hope to have him for the duration of the regular season.
